New Characters
Faith & ReginaINT. CAR
Regina Banks, late 30's, drives. She
is African-American, no-nonsense pretty. Her daughter Faith, 16, rides shotgun.
REGINA: Whattaya thinking?
FAITH:
You really wanna know?
REGINA: Probably not, but try me.
FAITH: I was thinking about Ronnie Miles.
Regina
grins, then teases her daughter.
REGINA: You were thinking about a boy...
FAITH: He was always nice to me. Even
when I was a freshman and he was a junior. My friends were so jealous.
REGINA: Ronnie was a good kid.
FAITH:
Yeah. He asked me out not long ago.
Faith smiles at the memory, then her smile dissipates.
FAITH: But then you
had to drag us off for your selfish career.
Regina eyes her daughter. She didn't see that one coming.
FAITH:
That's what I was thinking.
Regina takes the jab, then tries again.
REGINA: Look, honey, I know this is tough
--
FAITH: -- No. You don't. You don't know anything about it. And even if you did, you wouldn't care.
REGINA:
Hey. I'm OK with a little attitude about the move. But what's going on with you?
FAITH: What's going on with me is
that I don't wanna be here. I'm tired of moving, and I'm tired of erasing my life every time you see another chance to prove
yourself.
REGINA: OK, first of all, do not raise your voice at me. And I think you meant "improve myself." And you
too, by the way.
FAITH: How, mom? How is this improving me? Unless by "improving" you mean I'll look like a dork, feel
like an outsider, finally make friends and then disappear and start over again.
REGINA: And you think it's easy on
me? Because it's not. All right? It doesn't get easier, Faith. I have a life too by the way. Goddammit. I'm trying to help
us here. Don't make me feel guilty for that.
Faith eyes her mother. She speaks simply.
FAITH: Ya know I used
to love school. Now I hate it. And you know why? Because if I love it, you're just gonna take it away from me anyway.
Faith
looks away, then...
FAITH: So thanks for improving me, Mom.

RachelINT. SCHOOL - DAY
Rachel
exits the gym and is pursued by Brooke.
BROOKE: Hey. You got a problem?
RACHEL: I'd say you're the one with
a problem. You dance like a cripple. But your splits were pretty good. You must have a lot of practice spreading your legs.
BROOKE:
I also have a lot of practice making a fist. Wanna see?
RACHEL: You don't scare me, Brooke. I mean, it's not like I'm
a cookie or a doughnut. News flash: if you'd drop a few pounds our pyramids wouldn't suck fat girl ass.
BROOKE: Don't
mess with me, bitch. In case you haven't noticed, this is my cocktail party.
RACHEL: No. In case you haven't noticed,
it
was your party. Now it's mine. And you're not invited. So waddle on home, little piggy.
Brooke sneers at
Rachel and storms off. Rachel watches her go with a smug smile. Bevan enters.
BEVAN: Did I just miss something?
Rachel's
demeanor changes. She plays completely innocent.
RACHEL: I don't know. We were talking about the routine and she just
went off. Is she always like that?
BEVAN: Not really. What'd she say?
RACHEL: She was asking me what I thought
and I made like, one little suggestion. I know she's the captain but I was really just trying to help. (beat) Maybe I shouldn't
be on the squad.
BEVAN: Rach, everybody wants you here. Don't worry about it. I'll talk to Brooke.
RACHEL: Thanks,
Bevan. I just want Brooke to like me, you know? It's hard being the new girl.
They pick up their stuff, then eye Lucas
working out.
RACHEL: So that Lucas is a hottie.
BEVAN: Well if you want Brooke to like you, you better not say
that around her.
RACHEL: Oh, right. Makes sense. Hottest girl, hottest guy. Don't tell me -- he's the captain, too.
BEVAN:
Co-captain.
RACHEL: What's the other captain like?
BEVAN: Um, the other captain's married.
Rachel considers
this, then finds a wicked smile.
RACHEL: Interesting...

From Watch With Kristin:
Here's what
Mark Schwahn emailed me: "I can tell you that the season two DVD set will coincide with the premiere of season three--right
now slated for late September or early October. Tons of deleted scenes in the set--nearly an hour's worth, I think. There's
also a behind-the-scenes look at the OTH music tour (and music on the show), commentaries by myself, Bryan Greenberg and Paul
Johansson, a featurette on Chad's charity football game and a piece on some of the season two new kids like Lindsay McKeon,
Tyler Hilton and even the increased face time for Lee Norris. There will also be a second OTH soundtrack in the spring. It
will coincide with a Peyton storyline, and I hope to talk Joy Lenz into recording a new track for it, as well. There is also
a really cool thing happening with Sophia's character, but it's gonna be a couple weeks before I can tell you." And, of course,
I will tell you the moment I hear!

Tyler called into the Jackie and Bender Show on Kiss 106.1 which
airs from Seattle, Wash last Friday. He talked about numerous things but about half way through when asked “did you
just sign on for more one tree hill?” he replied “you know we’re just going to keep on keeping on like we
did last season, like I’ve got a break so I’ll do some more and next time I have a break I’ll do some more.
There going keep having me on which I think is going to be pretty fun.” Then he said he starts shooting this September.
“It’s funny because every time I hear storylines with this character, it’s so funny to me because I was
only supposed to be on a four episode arch but now they keep creating new things to for me to mess up. I have been hearing
about next season and you never know if they are going to stick to their original plan but from what I have been hearing I
think its going to be the funniest season of the three so far, it seems like its going to be really, really funny.”

From
Ask Ausiello:
Question: I have been dying for some One Tree Hill scoop — Danielle H.
Ausiello: Let me preface this
spoiler alert with a confession: I do not watch One Tree Hill and, therefore, can not in good conscience vouch for the quality
of the scoop. But this is what I got from a reliable source about the season premiere. "Brooke returns to Tree Hill with a
new outlook toward Lucas and dating. Peyton investigates the mysterious woman who claims to be her mother. Nathan must deal
with Haley's reappearance at the same time as the fire at Scott Motors, and Dan's fate after the fire is revealed." It certainly
sounds like really real
